LOUISVILLE COUPLE ARRESTED WITH A LARGE AMOUNT OF METHAMPHETAMINE

Sheriff Bobby Jones reports two Louisville residents are in jail following a search warrant at a Science Hill residence.

The incident began when Deputies from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, Agents from the
Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, and Detectives with Kentucky State
Police executed a search warrant on Highway 1676.

Law Enforcement knocked and announced at a garage behind the residence, but did not receive a
response. Smoke began coming from inside of the garage, so Deputies attempted to force entry
to the front door, but were unsuccessful due to the door being barricaded. Deputies were finally
able to make entry through the side of a garage.

After gaining entry to the garage, Law Enforcement found a wood burning stove burning in the
garage and the floor of the garage was on fire. Law Enforcement began attempts to extinguish
the fire and take control of the individuals inside of the garage.

Once the fire was contained, Deputies began a search of the occupants of the garage. Deputies
discovered Thomas Edward Soble, age 43, of Louisville, had an empty holster on his side. While
searching the garage, Deputies located a 9mm pistol, along with a bag of methamphetamine,
hidden under a side table. Deputies contacted Pulaski County 911 who revealed the pistol was
reported stolen. Law Enforcement conducted a check of Soble’s criminal history and discovered
he was a convicted felon, prohibited from possessing firearms.

During the interviews of the suspects, Law Enforcement was informed the subjects in the garage
burnt approximately 2.5 pounds of methamphetamine, in the wood burning stove, before
Deputies could make entry.

Upon completing the search and investigation of the scene, the following individuals were
arrested and charged:
Thomas Edward Soble:
? Receiving Stolen Property (Firearm)
? Possession of Handgun by Convicted Felon

? Possession of Controlled Substance 1 st Degree 1 st Offense
(Methamphetamine)(Enhancement)
Sarah Anne Morris, age 33, of Louisville:

The Narcotics Division is comprised of a three-man team whose chief purpose is to investigate and prosecute individuals who bring illegal substances into our community. methamphetamine in 2024. Methamphetamine is the most common narcotic sold in Pulaski

22,691.18 grams of marijuana, and 970 various pills.

“The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office continues to battle the illegal drug epidemic at all turns”
stated Sheriff Bobby Jones. “The statistics we are releasing show a decrease from 2023.” Sheriff
Jones went on to say “We believe the decrease in seized methamphetamine shows the impact the
Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office is having in the illegal drug community.”

“We are fortunate to have strong working relationships with our Federal partners and other local
law enforcement” stated Sheriff Jones. “At the end of the day, my goal is to make sure
individuals who deal in illegal narcotics get the message that Pulaski County is not open for
business.”

Two people were arrested Sunday evening after being found unresponsive in their pickup truck.

Shortly after 7:30 PM, Deputy Jacob Atwood of the Casey County Sheriff's Office responded to a call from Lincoln County Deputy Ron Luster about two individuals passed out in a vehicle at the Dollar General at the intersection of KY 70 and KY 837. Deputy Billy Duncan also received a call about the same subjects.

Upon arrival, they found a 2001 Chevy Silverado with a female driver and a male passenger, both unresponsive with their heads slumped over. After knocking on the windows, both subjects became alert. The woman, identified as Brittany G. Boyer, 35, of Liberty, and the man, Shannon L. Erp, 43, of Eubank, had bloodshot eyes. Boyer had dilated pupils and appeared to have cotton mouth.

Deputy Atwood noticed a plastic container between Boyer's legs and requested consent to search the vehicle. Boyer also had a silicon container with methamphetamine residue.

Erp informed Deputy Duncan about a pistol in the glove box, which was removed. Erp claimed the pistol was his and he had active warrants. Both subjects were arrested and transported to Casey County Jail.

CASEY COUNTY MAN RACKS UP 2ND DUI

Around 9:20 PM on Saturday, Casey County Deputy Jacob Atwood observed a 2007 Toyota pickup driving erratically on Hustonville Street, even mounting the sidewalk. The driver, later identified as 50-year-old Donald D. Propes Jr. of Liberty, crossed the centerline several times and drifted between lanes. When the vehicle stopped at the intersection of US 127 and Hustonville Street without signaling, Deputy Atwood initiated a traffic stop.

Upon contact, Deputy Atwood noted the smell of alcohol and observed Propes's glassy, bloodshot eyes. Propes was uncooperative, providing only proof of insurance and a social security number that dispatch could not match. A marijuana cigarette was spotted in his hand, which he claimed was "legal stuff" he hadn't yet smoked.

When asked to perform a field sobriety test, Propes refused and was subsequently placed under arrest after resisting exit orders. Once out of the vehicle, Propes was unsteady on his feet and used the truck for support. Deputy Atwood and Deputy Harris, who also noted the odor of alcohol, transported Propes to Casey County Jail. However, Propes became unresponsive, prompting an emergency trip to the hospital.

Bo argued that he had been wearing his seatbelt the whole time but that it was hidden by his hoodie. When asked for ID and vehicle information, Bo suggested Luttrell follow him to his house to get his license.

Bo appeared very nervous, with pin-pointed eyes. Trooper Blaine Sharp with KSP arrived on the scene, and Luttrell asked Bo to step out of the vehicle and perform Standard Field Sobriety Tests. The man appeared nervous and kept staring at the deputy. He then drove eastbound on KY 70. After initiating a traffic stop, the 2001 Ford Taurus drove for a mile before pulling into a field.

The driver, identified as Robert B. Miller, 45, of Liberty, was visibly shaky and avoided eye contact. He admitted to having no insurance or driver's license. While waiting for dispatch to verify Miller's social security number, Deputy Harris deployed K9 Nitro, who alerted to the driver's side door handle. Harris asked Miller to step out of the vehicle and during a pat-down, a clear baggie containing a crystal-like substance suspected to be methamphetamine fell out of Miller's pocket.

Miller admitted to using meth within the last 24 hours. After failing field sobriety tests, Miller was arrested and transported to Casey County Hospital, where he refused a blood test, and was then lodged in the Casey County Jail.

He faces multiple charges, including DUI-Controlled Substance-3rd Offense, Possession of Methamphetamine-1st Degree/3rd Offense, Driving on DUI Suspended License-2nd Offense, No Insurance-2nd Offense, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and No Registration Receipt.

2 PEOPLE ARRESTED IN WEEKEND TRAFFIC STOP

At 6 PM on Saturday, January 4, 2025, Casey County Deputy Jacob Atwood observed a green 1997 Chevy Blazer on Chestnut Level Rd with an obscured rear license plate, towing a trailer. The vehicle turned onto S Fork Creek Rd without signaling, prompting a traffic stop at the intersection of S Fork Creek Rd and Henson Creek Rd.

The driver, identified as 40-year-old Charles R. Prewitt of Louisville, provided his social security number for identification, stating he did not have a license. Prewitt's license was found to be suspended due to a DUI, and his provided insurance card had expired on 11/24/2024. Unable to provide valid insurance, Prewitt was arrested.

Passengers in the vehicle, Mandy Allen and Frederick Turpin. Dispatch confirmed that Mandy M. Allen, 24 of Liberty, had an active parole warrant. She was placed under arrest.

During the search of the vehicle, Deputy Atwood discovered a cloth eyeglass container wedged between the driver seat and console, containing a plastic bag with suspected methamphetamine and a red butane lighter. An unused glass pipe was found in the center console.

Deputy Austin Harris arrived to assist. Upon questioning, Allen admitted the methamphetamine was hers. During the continued search, Deputy Harris found a glass pipe with methamphetamine residue under the seat where Allen had been sitting. Despite the substance being found on Prewitt's side, Allen repeatedly claimed ownership.

Both Allen and Prewitt were transported to Casey County Jail. Allen was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine-1st Degree/2nd Offense and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Prewitt faced charges of Driving on a DUI Suspended License, Failure to Signal, and No Insurance.
