NATIONAL GUARD DELIVERING WATER TO DUNNVILLE RESIDENTS

 

Casey County Emergency Management says water deliveries continued late into the night last night as crews work to reach every Dunnville resident affected by a major water main break.

 

In coordination with the Kentucky Army National Guard, officials are distributing cases of drinking water directly to homes without service. Guard members are going door?to?door in a Humvee to ensure each household receives supplies.

 

Residents are urged to check on neighbors, especially the elderly and those with special needs, while repairs continue. Emergency Management thanked the community for its patience and cooperation as crews work to restore water.

 

KSP INVESTIGATE FATAL CRASH IN BOYLE COUNTY

 

The Kentucky State Police, Post 7, Richmond, was contacted just before 11:00 a.m., Sunday, January 18, 2026, in reference to a two vehicle collision on Shakertown Road (KY-33) in Boyle county. 

 

The initial investigation indicates a 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis operated by Hector Sanchez, 55, of Burgin, Ky, was traveling south on Shakertown Road when two wheels of the vehicle exited the roadway. Mr. Sanchez attempted to regain control and re-entered the roadway, crossing into the northbound lane, where the vehicle collided with a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado traveling north on Shakertown Road. The Silverado was driven by Ernest Robinson, 67, of McKee, Ky.

 

As a result of the collision, Hector Sanchez, 55, of Burgin, Ky, was fatally injured and pronounced deceased by the Boyle County Coroner Eric Guerrant. Ernest Robinson, 67, of Mckee, Ky, operator of the Chevy Silverado was transported to the University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

 

The ongoing collision investigation is being conducted by Trooper Tyler Holt. He was assisted on the scene by Kentucky State Police personnel, Boyle County Sheriffs Department, Boyle County EMS, Boyle County Fire Department, Mercer County Sheriffs Department and Boyle County Coroner’s Office.

 

PULASKI CO. SHERIFF'S OFFICE CONDUCTING DEATH INVESTIGATION FOLLOWING A SINGLE VEHICLE ACCIDENT

 

 

Pulaski County Sheriff Bobby Jones reports the death of a Science Hill man after units responded to a single vehicle accident on Hwy 3264 in Science Hill.


On January 16, 2026, at approximately 11:41a.m., SGT Kyle Wilson responded to a
report of a single vehicle accident on Hwy 3264 where it was reported a male subject was in the nearby creek; not moving. Upon arrival, SGT Wilson located a gold Chevrolet Malibu over an embankment. The accident appeared as though it had most likely occurred sometime the night prior to reporting.


A short distance from the vehicle, a male subject was found in the creek. The male,
identified as Casey Wilson, 32years of age, of Science Hill, KY, was confirmed to be deceased at the scene.

 

The exact cause of death is not known at this time, but is being investigated by the
Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office. At this time there is no foul play suspected.

 

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Science Hill
Volunteer Fire Department, Pulaski County Rescue Squad, Somerset/Pulaski County EMS and the Pulaski County Coroner’s Office.

  • Dwight Jerome Mitchell, 40, of Gallatin, of Tennessee, is charged with DUI, driving on a suspended license, receiving stolen property over ten?thousand dollars, and failing to surrender a revoked license.
  • Lloyd Jeff Mason, 54, of Liberty, faces three counts, including trafficking methamphetamine and cocaine, both listed as second or subsequent offenses.
  • Donna Stephens, 41, of Henderson, is indicted for first?degree meth trafficking and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Nickey Foster, 42, of Liberty, also known as Nicole Davis, is charged with first?degree bail jumping, meth possession, marijuana possession, paraphernalia, and several vehicle?equipment violations.
  • Phillip Means, 60, of Liberty, is charged with trafficking less than two grams of meth, along with marijuana and paraphernalia possession.
  • Richard Ribbey, 44, of Stanford, faces a first?degree promoting contraband charge and a persistent felony offender enhancement.
  • Angela Davis, 45, of Stanford, is indicted for trafficking meth, trafficking buprenorphine, and complicity to promoting contraband.
  • Jerry Garrett, 52, of Liberty, is charged with failing to comply with sex?offender registration requirements, along with meth and paraphernalia possession.
  • Kathy Sims, 54, of Liberty, faces a single count of first?degree meth possession.
  • Kristen Snow, 32, of Liberty, is charged with meth possession, paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence.
  • Derieck Hayes, 38, of Liberty, faces multiple vehicle?registration violations, along with charges of meth possession, marijuana possession, and paraphernalia.
  • Larry Patten, 31, of Dunnville, is indicted for meth possession—third or subsequent offense—along with marijuana and paraphernalia charges.
  • Branden Phillippe, 47, of Liberty, faces multiple trafficking charges involving meth, marijuana, and buprenorphine, as well as possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
  • And Brittany Robbins, 36, of Liberty, is charged with possession of meth and fentanyl, both listed as third or subsequent offenses, along with paraphernalia.

 

All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

KSP INVESTIGATING DEADLY SHOOTING IN ADAIR COUNTY

 

Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 15 is investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Tuesday afternoon in Adair County. 

 

On January 13, 2026, at 3:02 P.M. CST, KSP Post 15 Troopers responded with the Adair County Sheriff’s Office to a report of a shooting incident.  Troopers and Detectives arrived at a residence on KY 55 South and found Jordan Hadley, 33, of Columbia, seriously injured from an apparent gunshot wound.  Jordan was transported to the TJ Sampson Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by the Adair County Coroner.

 

The preliminary investigation revealed that Jordan Hadley and his father, Phillip Bruce Hadley, were involved in a heated altercation.  During the course of the incident, Phillip drew a handgun from his waist and discharged it, striking Jordan and causing fatal injuries.

 

Phillip Bruce Hadley, 56, of Columbia, was arrested and charged with Murder.  He was lodged in the Adair County Detention Center.

 

KSP Post 15 was assisted by the Adair County Sheriff’s Office, Columbia Police Department, Adair County EMS, and the Adair County Coroner’s Office.  Detective BJ Burton is conducting the investigation.

PULASKI COUNTY TEEN FOUND SAFE

 

Sheriff Bobby Jones reports that the missing juvenile, Josiah Schenk, age 16, who had been missing since the late evening hours on Friday, January 2, 2026 has been located and is safe.


The juvenile was located in northern Kentucky by a local agency.
 

The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office posted on their Facebook page on January 3, 2026 asking for the public’s assistance in locating him.


The case was initially investigated by Deputy Dylan West with the assistance of the Criminal Investigation Division of the Sheriff's Office.


Sheriff Jones would like to thank the public for their assistance in this investigation. Several people shared and posted information on their social media pages about his disappearance.

 

IMPAIRED DRIVER RUNS FROM POLICE

 

A Casey County man is facing multiple charges after deputies say he fled from law enforcement and nearly caused several crashes.

 

According to a uniform citation, 37?year?old Daniel W. Cornett was involved in a hit?and?run Friday night on KY 1547, where another driver reported Cornett’s truck crossed into his lane and struck his mirror. The driver followed the truck and provided deputies with a license plate number.

 

Deputies say Cornett was later spotted on KY 1547 and refused to stop, reaching speeds of more than 120 miles per hour and driving on the wrong side of the road before finally pulling over on Casey Creek Road.

 

The citation states Cornett was slurring his speech, unsteady on his feet, and admitted he was drunk. A breath test registered .256.

 

Cornett is charged with leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, first?degree fleeing or evading police, and second?degree wanton endangerment of a police officer.
