Charles Lewis "George" Robertson, 81, Louisville, KY (formerly of Russell Springs)

 

Charles Lewis "George" Robertson, 81, of Louisville, KY (formerly of Russell Springs), the son of the late Lewis and Dorothy Richard Robertson, was born on January 14, 1945 in Russell County, KY. He departed this life on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at the Highlands Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Louisville.

 

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. George enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching UK basketball and the Cincinnati Reds.

 

He was preceded in death by his wife of over 48 years, Judy Penick Robertson on December 26, 2021.

 

SURVIVORS:

6 children & their spouses: Dale & Juanita Oeltjen, and Gwen & Rudy Orduno of Louisville, Carol & Jerry Ray and Laura & Todd Simpson of Greensburg, and Rhonda & Pat Ennis and David & Tabatha Robertson of Edmonton

24 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren & 2 great-great grandchildren

1 sister: Lorene "Tootsie" Barnett of Russell Springs

A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends

 

Mr. Robertson was also preceded in death by one great-grandson, Jayden Andrew Judd; and three siblings: Phillip Robertson, Pearl Calhoun and Betty Ashbrook.

 

Funeral Service: Friday, October 2, 2026 at 12:00pmCT at Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg

 

Burial: Grider Cemetery

 

Visitation: After 9:00amCT on Friday at the funeral home

 

Pallbearers: Todd Simpson, Jonathan Meadows, Jeremy Meadows, Hunter Robertson, Anthony Oeltjen and Rudy Orduno

 

Honorary Pallbearers: Jerry Ray, Pat Ennis, Wayne Ray, Cruz Orduno, Clayton Oeltjen, nieces & nephews

 

Expressions of sympathy are requested to be made in the form of donations to the American Cancer Society, which can be made at the funeral home.
