William Richard Baker, 82, of Columbia, KY died Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. He was born on June 18, 1944 in Adair County to the late Edd Lee and Lillie Mae Coomer Baker. 

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his siblings: Willie Elmer Baker, Clarence Embry Baker, Stanley Baker, Willard Baker, Woodson Baker, Mary Helen Bunch, Claristeen Reliford and Dimple Coomer.

He was a member of Jones Chapel Church and a well-known cattle trader, former factory worker and car salesman.

His daughter & son-in-law: Gidget & Timmy Royse of Columbia

His granddaughter: Emilee & husband Dustin Brockman of Columbia

2 great-grandchildren: Asher Brockman and Lottie Brockman

2 sisters-in-law: Margie Baker and Elsie Baker both of Columbia

Funeral Service: Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 12:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Givens officiating

Burial: Jones Chapel Cemetery

Visitation: After 10:00 A.M. Saturday
