Norvelia Kay Barrett, 69, of Campbellsville, KY, the daughter of the late Delphus Barrett and Cora (McQueary) Shepherd, was born January 5, 1957 in Adair County, KY and departed this life on Saturday, August 22, 2026 in Lexington at the UK Hospital.

She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Kay enjoyed fishing, camping, being outdoors and a mechanic, but most of all, spending time with her family and friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters: Stela Grider, Gail Murphy and Cathy Barrett.

2 brothers & 3 sisters: Doug Barrett of Cynthiana, Georgia Barrett of Arizona, Dewayne Shepherd of Oldham County, Faye Shepherd of Campbellsville, Vera Hawkins of Lexington and Michelle Barrett of Columbia

17 grandchildren & a host of great-grandchildren
