Obituary

Charlie “Bubby” Crawhorn, 53, Columbia, KY

With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Charlie “Bubby” Crawhorn, who passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2026 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. He was born November 15, 1972 in Chicago, Illinois.

He was a man who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and had a passion for collecting guns, knives and bourbon. Each collection reflected his unique interests and the things that brought him joy throughout the years.  There weren’t many handyman talents that Charlie didn’t know or couldn’t teach himself. Early in life, he worked in the log woods with his late grandfather.

He was a former firefighter with the Columbia-Adair County Volunteer Fire Department, having a special interest in the WHAS Crusade for Children, serving as Crusade Chairman for several years.

Above all else, his greatest pride and joy was his family, which includes

SURVIVORS:

His parents: Charlie & Bernice Lee Crawhorn

His wife of 35 years: Angela Hare Crawhorn

2 children: Charlie Crawhorn (Mandi Smith) and Kaitlyn Wallace (Micah)

4 siblings: Artie Klaff (Becky), Timmy Crawhorn (Kelly), Denise Sigler (Jeff) and Kevin Crawhorn (Jennifer)

Bonus granddaughters: Kaylie McEachron, Abby McGowan, Karsyn Collins, Layla Collins and Myla Brynn Wallace

The time he spent with those he loved meant more than anything and the memories they shared will forever be treasured. His unexpected passing leaves a heartache that words cannot express, but his love, laughter and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed, forever loved and never forgotten.
