Della Fay Haggard, of Kings Mountain, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at her home. She was 70.

Born on August 24, 1955, in Lafayette, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Arvil Haggard and Sadie Rayborn Haggard. Della was a former waitress, in addition to driving a school bus for several years. She was an avid U.K. fan and enjoyed gardening, landscaping and being outdoors. Della loved spending time with her family, especially her kids and grandkids.

She is survived by her two sons, Samuel (and Jesseca) Phillips of Kings Mountain and Jonathan (and Tiffany) Phillips of Kings Mountain; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; six sisters, Stella (and Cecil) Emerick of Georgetown, IL, Mary Pittman of Liberty, Judy Haggard of Metcalf, IL, Martha Luster of Yosemite, Louise Payton of Casey County and Annie McAninch of Casey County; and a brother, Tommy Elliott of Paris, IL.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with speaker, Stella Emerick and Bro. Steven Poff officiating.

Burial will follow in Bethelridge Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Samuel Phillips, Jonathan Phillips, Cole Phillips, Chase Phillips, Wade Phillips, Daulton Phillips, Chance Phillips and J.C. Phillips.

Memorial contributions may be made to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
