Ernest Lee Wesley, age 86, of, Liberty, KY, passed away on Sunday January 18th, 2026, at the Liberty Care Center. He was born January 25th, 1939, in Casey County, KY, a son of the late Albert and Viola Byrd Wesley.

Ernest was a U.S. Army Veteran, a small engine repair man and a member of Canaan Valley Separate Baptist Church.

Survivors include: four daughters: Debbie (Rick) Hogue of Liberty, Terri Edwards of Liberty, Roxanna Hogue of Liberty and Jeanette Wesley of Liberty, thirteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, numerous great great grandchildren, one sister: Linda (Gale) Brown of Liberty, one brother: Earl (Lisa) Wesley of Seymour, IN and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.

Preceding him in death besides his parents was one great grandson: Greyson Hayes, and six siblings: Charles “Charlie” Wesley, Ruby Hatton, Robert Wesley, John Wesley, Winfred Wesley and Flossie “Sissy” Long.

Visitation will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday January 21st, 2026, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday January 21st, 2026, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Rick Hogue officiating.

Burial will be in the Salyers Cemetery with Military Honors performed by the Casey County Veterans Honor Guard.
