Carolyn Rae Coleman, of Liberty, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025, at Casey County Hospital. She was 69.

Born on January 15, 1956, in Taylor County, Kentucky to the late William E. Wethington and Myrtle Wethington Wethington. Carolyn was a housewife and a former Sunday school teacher at Dunnville Church of God, where she previously attended. She loved animals and all children.

She is survived by her husband, Odell Vittitoe; a daughter, Hope Coleman of Liberty; a son, James (and Tiara) Coleman of Centralia, Missouri; two brothers, William “Bimbo” (and Kathy) Wethington of Middleburg and Jimmy (and Marsha) Wethington of Clementsville; a sister, Emma (and Gary) Wethington of Clementsville; and three grandchildren, Tamaries, Tamai and Jamaira.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her former husband, James B. Coleman; a son, Matthew Wayne Coleman; a twin sister, Marilyn Derringer and a sister, Barbara Wethington.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Dunnville Church of God with Bro. Ted Stidham officiating.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
