Sandra Elaine Allen, 77, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 24th. Born on October 18th, 1947, she was the daughter of the late William (Bill) and Molly Woodrum Fletcher.

Sandra’s love for her family was pure and endless. Her joys in life were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an amazing cook and devoted her summers to feeding countless hummingbirds and growing the most beautiful flowers. Sandra was also an active member in her church, Poplar Grove Baptist for 59 years. She will truly be missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband Donald of 59 years: her children, Denita Popplewell (Chris Pierce) of Rogersville, TN, Aimee (Jason) Cole of Lexington; her grandchildren Korey (Heather) Popplewell, Kodey (Brooke) Popplewell, Jayse Cole and Landri Cole; great grandchildren, Emmy Popplewell, Finley Popplewell and Beckley Jo Popplewell. She also leaves behind two brothers, Hugh Fletcher and Larry (Mary) Fletcher and a host of nieces and nephews who she loved.

Preceding her in death besides her parents was one son in law: Robert Popplewell.

All Services will be held private. Rev. Jimmy Brown officiating.

Burial will be in the Poplar Grove Cemetery.
