Benjamin Leonard “Benny” Durham Jr. age 89, of Liberty, KY, passed away on Friday February 21st, 2025, at his residence.

He was born in Sand Gap, KY on January 18th, 1936, to the late Benjamin Leonard Durham Sr. and Sallie Bessie Neeley Durham.

Benny was the widower of Polly Durham who passed away on January 26th, 2025.

Benjamin better known as Benny was the founder of the original Polly’s Shoe located on East 70 and Durhams Mobile Home Park. He was a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church

Survivors include: two daughters: Drema and (Rick) Scheiba of Hamilton, OH, and Brenda Durham and (Jon Brown) of Yosemite, grandchildren: Missy and (Scott) McComas, Jeremy Durham, Jakie Bell, Jennifer and (Brandon) Nichols, Jerika and (Dustin) Hampton, Joshua Durham and Kyndra Cochran, great grandchildren: Austin, Madison, Natalie, Shelby, Brantley, Blayde, Greyson, Georgia, Briar and Skylin, special great grandchildren: Temperance, Jaxson, Aiden and Emily, sister in law: Ann Gibson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death besides his parents and spouse was one son: Benjamin Leonard “Benji” Durham III, brothers: Clyde Kelley, Edward and (Fannie) Kelley, Lester Durham and Jimmie Durham, sisters: Christine and (Herman) Gabbard, Geraldine and (Carl) Hounshell and Edna and (Bige) Treadway.

Visitation will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday February 26th, 2025, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.  

Funeral Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday February 26th, 2025, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Duane Orange officiating.

Burial will be in the Casey County Memorial Gardens.
