Evelyn Faye Shoopman Cochran, 87, of Liberty, Kentucky, widow of Marshall Cochran, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Russell County Hospital in Russell Springs, Kentucky.

Born on April 1, 1937, in Liberty, Kentucky, Evelyn was the daughter of the late William Everett Shoopman and Ruby Peyton Shoopman.

She was a devoted mother, homemaker, and a member of the Block Pentecostal Holiness

Church. Evelyn life was rooted in her deep devotion to God and her steadfast faith. She

cherished spending time with her family and friends, creating lasting memories and sharing her

warmth and kindness with others.

In addition to her parents and her husband of 66 years, Evelyn was preceded in death by two

sisters, Catherine Cox (Hardin) and Geraldine McGuire (Joe). She is survived by two sons: Larry

Keith (Rhonda) Cochran of Liberty, Kentucky, and Terry Ray (Cindy) Cochran of Russell

Springs, Kentucky.

She is also survived by three brothers: Rufus Shoopman (Mary Sue), Jesse Shoopman (Glenda),

and William Shoopman (Nancy), all of Liberty, Kentucky and one sister, Carolyn Dorris (Steve)

of Nicholasville, Kentucky.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Bartle Funeral

Home Chapel. Visitation will continue Wednesday, January 15, 2025, beginning at 8:00 A.M.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Bartle Funeral

Home Chapel, with Bro. Steve Isaacs and Bro. Gary Lavender officiating.

Burial will follow at Poplar Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kerry Wesley, Timothy Campbell, Jim Rubino, Marvin Cochran, Marvin Rose and Chris McQueary.
