Janice Marion Wesley, of Liberty, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Liberty Care and Rehab. She was 81.
Born on March 16, 1943, in Liberty, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Charles Ewing and Hilda Combest Wesley. Janice was a 1961 graduate of Liberty High School and obtained a degree from Eastern Kentucky University in history and political science. She was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church and was a social worker for the KY Department of Social Services. She was also a computer draft specialist and worked for the federal government in multiple locations across the United States including NASA in Houston, TX. Janice loved politics, reading, and traveling.
She is survived by a brother, Dr. William (Laura Lee) Clyde Wesley of Stanford; a sister, Nancy Williams of Williamstown, NJ; a nephew, Dr. Paul Lewis (Christie) Wesley of Des Moines, IA; a niece, Mary Elizabeth Wesley, JD of Harrodsburg; and a great-niece, Adelaide Ewing Wesley.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, January 10, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
