Hollis Murphy age 92, of Liberty, KY, passed away on Monday December 9th, 2024, at his residence.

He was born in Liberty, KY on February 11th, 1932, to the late Edward and Mary Sharp Murphy.

Hollis was retired from ATR, a U.S. Army Veteran, and a member and Deacon of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his spouse: Anna Margaret Peavey Murphy, one son: Barry and (Melissa) Murphy of Liberty, one granddaughter: Meagan Murphy of Liberty, two great grandchildren: Izabella and Oakley Davidson of Liberty, two brothers: Vearl and (Norma) Murphy of Cincinnati, OH and Joe and (Alice) Murphy of Yosemite, and two sisters: Lois Sandusky and Wanda Vaught both of Liberty.

Preceding him in death besides his parents was, two brothers: Paul and Charles Murphy, and two sisters: Bobbi Richards and Janice Lynn.

Visitation will be held 6:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Thursday December 12th, 2024, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.  

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday December 13th, 2024, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Dwight Coffman officiating.

Burial will be in the Peavey Cemetery with Military Rites performed by the Casey County Veterans Honor Guard.
