Elizabeth Karen Barlow age 86, of Louisville, KY, passed away on Thursday August 1st, 2024, at the home of her daughter Leslie in Louisville.
She was born in Yosemite, KY, on July 24th, 1938, to the late Arrid Keith Black and Maudie Goodman Black. Karen was a former billing clerk for the University of Louisville Psychiatric Services.
Karen was very active at Tombstone Community Church, singing in the choir, and the many projects and fundraisers of Women’s Fellowship.
Survivors include: her spouse: Tombstone Mayor Pro tem councilman Bill Barlow, three children: Randy Barlow of Bardstown, Steven and (Rachael) Barlow of St. Matthews, KY and Leslie and (Chris) Carder of Louisville, seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
Preceding her in death besides her parents was one sister: Hazel Vest and two brothers: Victor and Junior Black.
Visitation will be held 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Tuesday August 6th, 2024, and after 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday August 7th, 2024 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday August 7th, 2024, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Greg Burton officiating.
Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery.
