Jerry Arlaud, age 84, of Nancy, KY passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.  Jerry was born on December 3, 1939 in Des Moines, IA to Jack Arlaud and Lucille Abel Arlaud.   Jerry was a simple man, very patriotic and served our country in the U.S. Navy, he loved classic cars and always enjoyed Sumernites Cruise, an Indianapolis Colts fan who loved football, watching Judge Judy and fishing.  He worked in construction management.  

Survivors include two daughters, Shana Lea (Willie) Coleman of Springfield, KY and Stacey Fox (Rodney) Halcomb of Nancy, KY; two brothers, Jean Newland and Jeff (Theresa) Arlaud; two sisters, Janet (Galen) Kelly and Judy (Ron) Sims; like a sister, Cathy Garton; two grandchildren, Justin Simpson and Tara Hug, three great grandchildren, Mylee Simpson, Aiden Roberts and Faith Simpson, extended family members, neighbors and friends who are saddened by his passing.

In addition to his parents, Jack and Lucille Arlaud, Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl Smiley Arlaud who passed away on August 1, 2013;   his brother, Jack Arlaud; and his sister, Joyce McGilvra.

Visitation for Jerry Arlaud will be on Friday March 8, 2024 from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm.    

His funeral service will follow on Friday, March 8th   at 5:00 pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Clark officiating.  

His ashes will be buried at New Bethel Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN, at a later date.

Military Honors will be conducted on Friday, March 8th at 3:00 pm by American Legion Post 38 Honor Guard.
