Joey Paul Weddle, of Liberty, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Baptist Health Lexington. He was 60.
Born on October 29, 1963, in Danville, he was a son of the late John W. Weddle, Jr. and Ada Combest Weddle. He leaves behind his wife, Karin Weddle, whom he wed December 12, 1987. Joey spent his life as a truck driver and farmer. He loved his family and spending time with his grandkids.
In addition to his wife, Joey is survived by his sons, Nolan (Lily) Weddle of Versailles; Logan (Shawnda) Weddle of Liberty, and Hagan (Holly) Weddle of Lillington, North Carolina; his brother, Johnny Weddle of Liberty; his sister, Pam (Roger) Williams of Carrollton; and 5 grandchildren, Katherine, Jase, Silas, Eli, and Knox Weddle.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held privately.
Pallbearers will be Nolan Weddle, Logan Weddle, Hagan Weddle, Brad Wilson, Craig McAnelly, and Brandon Lawhorn. Johnny Weddle will be an honorary pallbearer.
