Alexandrew D. “Alex” Denson, of Waddy, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. He was 36.
Born on November 1, 1987, in Campbellsville, Kentucky, he was the son of Brett and April Denson, of Waddy. Alex loved children and animals. He also enjoyed guns and playing video games. He worked at Huck’s and loved his work family.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Maranda (Wesley) Chambers of Richmond; brother, Jordan Denson of Jeffersontown; two nieces, Evelyn and Lillian Chambers; nephew, Kane Chambers; and paternal grandmother, Donna (the late Garland) Denson. Other survivors include his best friend, Adam Kinney; best friend’s son, Aydan; aunts, Lisa Denson, Shannon (David) Reid, Sarah (James) Moore, Jenny (Brian) Dangelmaier, Rachel Thomas, and Rachael (Marty) Mays; and uncles, Kirby (Angie) Tucker and John (Christy) Thomas.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Bonita Vanoy Denson; maternal grandmother, Gail Tucker; and aunt, Melinda Chaffee.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. David Reid officiating.
Burial will follow in South Fork Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 3, 2024, and from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
