Ella Fayrene McAninch, of Yosemite, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024, at her home. She was 82.

Born on April 23, 1941, in Pulaski County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Elger D. and Evelyn Lay Sneed. Ella Fayrene attended Mt. Olive Christian Church. She formerly worked at Cowden’s and OshKosh. She enjoyed thrift stores, old game shows on television, working jigsaw puzzles, and going out to eat.

She is survived by sisters, Brenda Carman, Ollie May Tackett, and Judy (Sam) Allen; brothers, Raymond (Darlene) Sneed, Alvie (Alice) Sneed, Dean (Mary Katherine) Sneed, Gerald (Gloria) Sneed, and Kenny (Linda) Sneed; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carroll “Snake” McAninch, who passed away on March 28, 2003; brothers, Edward Sneed, Elger Sneed, Jr., Eugene Sneed, David Sneed, and William Russell Sneed; sisters, Opal Sneed, Elvera Salyers, Edith Sneed, Edna Atwood, and Betty Salyers; and stepmother, Mary F. Sneed.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Powell officiating.

Burial will follow in Middleburg Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
