Shirley Cochran Wyatt, age 79, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023, in Danville, KY.

Born December 25, 1944, in Casey County, KY, she was a daughter of the late Andrew Jackson Cochran and Anna Foxx Cochran. Shirley was a caregiver and member of the Poplar Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family, and shopping, especially for clothing and jewelry.

Survivors include her daughters, Karen (Mike) Minton of Windsor, Kim (Bill) Tharp of Burlington, Rhonda (Robert) Pack of Harrodsburg, and Stephanie (Ronald) Cox of Louisville; special friend and companion, Russell Hinds of Danville; sisters, Vina Maxine Bell of Georgetown and Judy Jarvis of Indianapolis, IN; and 9 grandchildren, Jessica Minton, Hayleigh Tharp (Nathan Irving), Hannah Tharp, Jordan Colby (Daniela) Cox, and Emma, Madaline, Isaiah, Oliver, and Isabella Cox.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Andrew and Charles Cochran; and her sisters, Mary Alene Grider, Elvadene Sharp, and Wonetta Burns.

Funeral services will be at 2:00PM on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Brent Huggins officiating.

Burial will follow in the Poplar Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12 Noon until 2:00PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Mike Minton, Bill Tharp, Robert Pack, Ron Cox, Colby Cox, Harold Glenn Emerson, and Nathan Irving. Russell Hinds will be an honorary pallbearer.
