MARTY LUTTRELL

 

Marty Elvis Luttrell, of Campbellsville, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023, at his home. He was 60.

 

Born on July 17, 1962, in Liberty, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Wilber Lane and Edith Luttrell Gillock. Marty was a Journeyman Lineman for Inter County Energy and retired as Foreman. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. He grew up on Water Tower Hill and was born and raised in Casey County. Marty enjoyed farming, playing pool and softball, traveling especially to the beach, and spending time with his family. He coached baseball for Casey County Little Leagues in years past.

 

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Beard Luttrell; two sons, Jason Luttrell and Jonathan Luttrell, both of Liberty; a daughter, Brittany (Richard) Roysden of Yosemite; two step-sons, Brian Mattingly and Taylor Ferry, both of Louisville; and a step-daughter, Alexandria Mattingly of Louisville. Other survivors include grandchildren, Connor, Haidon, Nathan, Haylee, Hudson, Skylar, and Waylon; a sister, Darlene Luttrell; three brothers, Ricky (Debra) Luttrell, Mike (Jessica) Luttrell and Joe Gillock; mother and father in-law, Will and Jerri Beard; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Larry Wheatley, Kenneth, Philip and Stanley Murphy; Curtis Moss and family; everyone at Inter County Energy; and his dog and best friend, Freddie.

 

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Father George Otuma officiating.

 

Burial will follow in Caney Fork Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.

 

Pallbearers will be Jon Luttrell, Connor Luttrell, Nathan Luttrell, Haidon Luttrell, Joe Gillock, Richard Roysden, Kenneth Murphy, and Larry Wheatley.

 

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Commonwealth Cancer Center at 520 Techwood Dr. Danville, KY 40422.
