Sadie M. Barron, 81, of Somerset, passed away Monday, November 8, 2021 at the Somerset Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility.

She was born August 31, 1940 in Jamestown, Kentucky; daughter of the late Clarence E. & Hattie  Vie (Burton) Skaggs. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith.

She is survived by two sons, Randy Lee & (Angie) Barron of Somerset and David & (Vickie) Barron of Somerset; a daughter, Brenda Barron of Somerset; a brother, Gary & (Delores) Skaggs of Lexington; two sisters, Rita & (Eddie) Phelps of Somerset and Charlotte & (Arthur) Short of Georgetown, Kentucky; a sister-in-law, Nina Skaggs of Somerset; nine grandchildren, Dakota, Dalton, Dawson, Holly, David, Kim, Becky, David Allen, & Jason; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Denton Mathias Barron, to whom she was married on March 22, 1958 until his passing on June 23, 2014; a daughter, Joyce Smith; an infant daughter, Kathy Jean Barron; a brother, Everett Skaggs; and an infant brother, Jerry Lee Skaggs.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, November 11, 2021 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Ferlin Price officiating.

Burial will be in Eden Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Morris &  Hislope Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations towards the Sadie M. Barron Memorial Fund.
