Clifton Earl Jones, 83, of Science Hill, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2021 in the comfort of his home. He was born March 11, 1938 in Hardin, Kentucky to the late Rob & Sally Jones.

Earl was of the Baptist faith and he loved sitting outside with family on warm days and playing cards with them at night. He was a fan of NASCAR and wrestling and enjoyed watching his favorite TV shows, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, and Walker Texas Ranger, but most of all he loved going to Bingo.

Earl is survived by many who loved him and will miss him dearly; his girlfriend of 35 years, Betty Smith Dodson; his children by heart, Randy & (Margie) Dodson, Sandy & (Marlin) Rose, Tammy & (Ralph) Wesley, and Kim & (Danny) Roberts; his grandchildren by heart, Vinson & (Brenda) Durham, Colleen & (Chris) Hart, Tonya Wesley & (Justin Nicholas), Tyrone & (Ashley) Wesley, Tosha Rose, Amy & (David) Ferris, Dane Dodson & (Lillian Bennett), and Bryce Dodson & (Keshia Nolen); his great-grandchildren by heart, Kegan & (Makayla) Durham, Karleigh Durham, Nathan Hart, Christian Hart, Cheyenne Dykes, Logan Wesley, Tylee Wesley, Justin Dykes, Skyler Dykes, Dakota Poynter, Dakayla Poynter, Gabriel Dodson, and Emma Dodson; his great-great-grandchildren by heart, Kaden Durham, Bradi Durham, Greyson Flores, Lakelyn Flores, and Raven Flores; a special friend, Frank Smith; and his biological children, Melissa Thomas, Sherry Brody, Kim Wood, and Greg Jones.

Earl is preceded in death by his parents; the mother of his children, Marcella Rhodes; a granddaughter by heart, Shon Rene Rose; a great-grandson by heart, Hunter Denney-Wesley; and a great-great-granddaughter by heart, Amari Durham.

A graveside service will be held 12:00 PM Friday, November 5, 2021 at the McKinney Cemetery with Bro. Scotty Nix officiating.
