James Carlton "Jimmy" Adams, 83 beloved father, husband, grandfather and great grandfather passed away Friday, October 22, 2021 at his home in Crab Orchard. He was the husband of Elizabeth Ann (Middleton) Adams whom he married on September 8, 1961. Jimmy was born in Lincoln County on July 28, 1938 to the late Charles Edward "Peck" and Dorothy (Messer) Adams. Jimmy was a faithful member of the Church of Christ and was a veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid sports fan especially for UK and the Boyle County Rebels. He had previously worked as a State Commercial Building Inspector and as a former Lincoln County Building Inspector. Jimmy was a very well known and loved referee, having refereed many high school basketball games for over 30 years. He was in the 12th Region Hall of Fame and was The coach of the 1970 Jessamine County 13 Year Old Baseball State Champs.

In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by a Brother, Douglas Adams
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM, on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at McKnight Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Louis Hammons officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Zion Church of Christ Cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
