OBITS

CAROL DAVIS

Carol Sue Keck Davis went to be with her Lord and Savior in the early hours of September 8, 2021. She was 72.

Born on July 8, 1949, in Logan County, West Virginia, Sue graduated from Man High School, in Man, West Virginia. She was a proud Hillbilly alumna, attending every reunion and enjoying the reconnection with her classmates.

While visiting a sister in Abilene, Texas, she met her future husband, Randal Davis, who was serving at Dyess Air Force Base. They married on January 20, 1968, residing in Abilene before moving to Jeffersonville, Indiana, and then to Liberty, Kentucky, following Randal’s discharge from military service.

Sue was employed at American Greetings in Danville, Kentucky, retiring in 2015. She always spoke well of her employer and was proud of the work she did there.

Sue loved her faith, regularly attending Bethlehem United Methodist and Mount Pleasant Church, and special services and revivals at many other churches. She was also an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan. She enjoyed watching Hallmark movies and knitting.

Sue loved her husband, children, and grandchildren with her whole heart.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Randal Davis, two sons, Andy Davis, MPH, of Louisville, and Matt Davis of Lebanon; a granddaughter, Micahalia Frye, also of Louisville; and a grandson, Mason Richardson. She is also survived by four sisters, Delores, Phylis, Barbara, and Linda, and one brother, Charlie, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Howard and Leona Eplin Keck, two brothers, Clifton and William Howard, and three nephews, Steven Adkins, Frank Adkins, and Howard Adkins, as well as her father- and mother-in-law, Alton and Adele Davis.

She will be dearly, deeply missed. A light has gone out of the world.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, September 12, 2021, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Treece and Bro. Casey Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8PM on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.

The family of Mrs. Davis requests that everyone in attendance to the visitation and funeral please wear a facial covering.
