FETTER WILDER

Rev. Fetter Lynn Wilder, age 66, of Cawood, Kentucky, made his transition from the toils of earth to his eternal reward on Friday, May 21, 2021, at the Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.  His transition was perhaps made easier as he was surrounded by his loving family while singing one “What a Lovely Name, the Name of Jesus”.  Earth has no sorrow that heaven can’t heal.  He preached the word of God and was a faithful witness to share the glorious gospel with others in his daily interactions with others.

He was born on May 5, 1955 in Harlan, Kentucky, son of the late Walter Wilder and Agnes Fern Browning Osborne.  Fetter was a graduate of James A. Cawood High School and attended Morehead State University where he majored in Music.  His love for music was evident in his skillful playing of several instruments including the piano, organ and guitar.  Fetter was a hardworking man, and would often share of his start in life as a coal miner in Harlan County.    He was a multi-talented man that Loved the Lord, his family and countless friends as well as coon hunting.  Fetter was industrious and innovative.  He was the family “fix it man”  If anything  was broken, he would figure out a way to fix it.  His generosity and kind-heartedness extended beyond his family to anyone that was in need. He was of the Pentecostal-Holiness Faith, having been called in the ministry he was a dedicated Pastor with the Church of God/Valley View Church of God for a number of years prior to his retirement.  After retirement, he could be found sharing a testimony or the word of God to others.  Besides loving the Lord and his family, Bro. Fetter was known as the “Jerky-Man, or the “Fried Pie Man” but his greatest joy was coon hunting, caring for his dogs and fishing with his grandchildren.  Bro. Fetter will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
