QUINTIN LYNCH

 

Quentin Lynch, of Casey County, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021, at Liberty Care Center. He was 97.

 

Born on September 11, 1923, in New Tazewell, Tennessee, he was a son of the late Isaac and Gennettie Keck Lynch.

 

Quentin moved to Casey County when he was eleven years old. He served in the United States Marine Corps in the South Pacific where he was a Parachute Packer. Quentin was also a farmer, an electrician, and a TV repair man.

 

He is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Lynch of Michigan; a son, David Lynch of Michigan; and multiple grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Leone Artz Lynch; a daughter, Linda Lynch; five sisters, Juanita Finn, Coba Meyers, Hattie Wilson, Eunice Christian, and Agnes Lynch; and four brothers, Vernon Lynch, John Lynch, Alec Lynch, and Blue Lynch.

 

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Hershel Lawhorn officiating. Burial will follow in Cold Springs Cemetery.

 

Military Honors will be performed by the Casey County Honor Guard.

 

The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Social distancing guidelines must be followed by everyone in attendance.  Facial coverings ARE required.
