Paulette Lay, of Liberty, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020, at her home. She was 73.
Born on May 1, 1947, in Casey County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Vera Walls Murphy. Paulette was a homemaker. She was an avid Elvis fan.
She is survived by her husband, Garnett Lay of Liberty; four daughters, Anita Marie McKnight (and James) of Lexington, Paula Lynette Deutsch (and Glenda Riegel) of Lexington, Emily Eileen Schulze (and Derek) of Chicago, and Julie Amanda Dieter (and Cory); and a son, Morris Spencer Deutsch (and Monyca) of Knoxville; five grandchildren, Travis, Kelly, Frances, Owen, and Paige; sisters, Rhonda, Seleda, and Joyce; and two brothers, Arthur Jr. and Hershel.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Harold; and sisters, Elizabeth and Joy.
Per Paulette’s wishes, no services will be held. Cremation rites were honored.
