Sue Owens, of Liberty, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020. She was 76.

Born on September 20, 1944, in Adair County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Hollis and Lucy Jones Vaughn. Sue was a housewife and a homemaker. She was baptized in the river while attending Dunnville Christian Church. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, and canning. Sue was an excellent cook and an avid UK fan. She devoted her life to her husband and children.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel Wayne Owens, who she wed on July 20, 1962; a daughter, Tammy Owens (Steve Thomas) of Lexington; a son, Tim Owens of Georgetown; a sister, Joanna (Cecil) Neat of Cincinnati, Ohio; and a brother, Benny (Geneeda) Vaughn of Dunnville.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Tony Dale Owens; and a sister, Shirley Bray.

Due to statewide COVID restrictions the funeral service will be held privately for family members only.
