Authorities in Boyle County say a man is facing multiple charges after a head?on crash on KY?34 near Old Bridge.

Deputies responded to the collision and identified the driver as Ricardo Martinez Flores. Witnesses told officers they smelled alcohol on Martinez, and EMS personnel reported he admitted to drinking. Another motorist said she had followed him from Nicholasville, describing his driving as erratic and dangerous.

While being transported to the hospital for possible injuries, Martinez jumped out of the ambulance near Seminole Trail. Danville Police quickly located him and held him until deputies arrived.

Martinez was arrested, medically cleared, and taken to the Boyle County Detention Center. He faces charges including DUI, wanton endangerment, and driving without a license. Officials note he is also under an ICE detainer.

Fortunately, no one else was seriously hurt in the crash.
