LOUISVILLE MAN ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES IN PULASKI COUNTY

 

Pulaski Count Sheriff Bobby Jones a Pulaski County man is in custody following a traffic stop early Wednesday morning.


The incident began when Detectives from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division were conducting surveillance in the Shopville community. Detectives had been conducting an investigation into Lannie Dobbs, age 57, of Louisville. Detectives observed Dobbs on East Highway 80 around Fire Tower Road, fail to signal as it turned onto East Highway 80. Detective Tan Hudson followed the vehicle and observed it cross the white line on several occasions. Detectives conducted a traffic stop.


Upon stopping the vehicle, Dobbs advised Detectives he had a marijuana roach in the vehicle. Detectives could smell a marijuana odor coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted. While searching the vehicle, Detectives located syringes inside. Detectives asked Dobbs about the syringes and Dobbs admitted to having methamphetamine in a cigarette pack.


Detectives continued the search and located two baggies of methamphetamine in the cigarette pack weighing a combined weight of approximately 4.5 grams. Also located inside of the passenger compartment was digital scales and baggies.


Detectives searched the engine compartment of the vehicle, where they located a magnetic box containing approximately 38.6 grams of methamphetamine.
 

During the course of the investigation, it was discovered Dobbs had a prior conviction for
trafficking in methamphetamine.

 

Dobbs was arrested charged with the following:

- Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1 st Degree, 2 nd Offense over 2 grams of
methamphetamine
- Drug Paraphernalia – Buy/Possess
- Possession of Marijuana
- Careless Driving
- Failure to or Improper Signal

 

The investigation is still ongoing by Detective Tan Hudson. Detective Hudson was assisted on the scene by Detective Trent Massey, Deputy Grant Bryant, and Deputy Daniel Drury.
