On Sunday, just past 6pm, Casey County Deputy Austin Harris, accompanied by Special Deputy Billy Duncan, were monitoring traffic at the crossroads of E KY70 and KY 198, and pulled over a 2006 Saturn Ion, notable for its busted rear window, which was covered with plastic.
The driver, 37-year-old Amanda N. Luttrell, of Russell Springs, exhibited clear signs of impairment. After failing field sobriety tests, she confessed to smoking Marijuana and Meth approximately two hours prior.
Following her refusal of a blood test at the hospital, she was escorted to the Casey County Jail. Ms. Luttrell is charged with DUI-controlled substance, having an obstructed view, and driving on suspended operator’s license.
