Kentucky State Police (KSP) Trooper Daniel S. Forbis, 42, of Campbellsville, faces serious charges related to theft and abuse of public trust.
The indictments were filed on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, in Franklin Circuit Court.
The indictment alleges that between June, 2023, and February, 2024, Forbis took property valued at over $10,000 from the Commonwealth of Kentucky and/or the Kentucky State Police.
Further, during the same period, Forbis, as a public servant, obtained public property exceeding $10,000 from the Kentucky State Police. He failed to fulfill the required disposition.
Forbis graduated from the KSP Academy in August 2017.
