2 PEOPLE ARRESTED WHEN DEPUTIES RESPOND TO A DISTURBANCE CALL

Deputy Austin Harris and Special Deputy Billy Duncan, both from the Casey County Sheriff's Office, were dispatched to a location on KY 1649, approximately seven miles east of Liberty. The call came in around 5:30 PM on a Friday. According to reports, a male and female were engaged in a heated argument, screaming, and throwing objects.

Upon arrival, the deputies spoke with the property owner, who told them that Jacob Elmore, had been yelling and behaving erratically. Jacob and his girlfriend, Elizabeth Lawrence, had apparently been arguing for some time before the situation escalated into a full- blown confrontation with boards and other items being thrown. Deputies then interviewed Jacob, who admitted to his actions but claimed he was upset because Elizabeth wouldn't be reasonable. Jacob S. Elmore, 26, of Poplar Hill Rd., Liberty, was arrested on charges of Disorderly Conduct-2nd degree.

While speaking with Miss Lawrence, the deputies noticed signs of impairment. Elizabeth A. Lawrence, 27, from Poor Ridge Pike in Lancaster, admitted to using methamphetamine the day before. She rated her level of impairment on a scale of 1 to 10 as about a 3. She was arrested on charges of Public Intoxication (controlled substance) and Disorderly Conduct-2nd degree.

Both were transported to the Casey County Jail.
