An Anderson County woman was arrested on drug charges during a traffic stop Tuesday night.

Casey County Deputy Tyler Luttrell stopped a truck for traffic violations.

The driver, Jerry Garrett, had a suspended license.

Deputy Atwood ran the K9 around the truck and it alerted.

A search of the vehicle located a bag on the passenger side containing a straw with residue in it, a scale with residue on it, and a plastic baggie with residue in it.

The passenger, 26 year old Elizabeth Lawrence, of Poor Ridge Rd., Lawrenceburg, admitted the bag was hers and that she and Garrett had both done meth the previous day.

Elizabeth Lawrence was arrested and lodged at the Casey County Jail on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, and Drug Paraphernalia.
