On Friday, Casey County Sheriff's Deputy Jacob Atwood arrested 70-year-old Robert M. Woodward for DUI and drug possession.
Woodward was initially reported trying to get into the back door of a residence on KY 906. When Deputy Atwood arrived, Woodward was gone, but he returned shortly thereafter.
Deputy Atwood noticed that Woodward's pupils were constricted and glassy, and he asked him if he had taken anything. Woodward said no, but then pulled out his medication from the door panel. He also had a bottle of marijuana and a pipe in his possession.
Deputy Atwood asked Woodward to perform field sobriety tests, which he failed. Woodward was arrested and transported to Casey County Hospital for a blood test. He was then taken to Casey County Jail and charged with DUI, possession of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Lincoln County Deputy Ron Luster assisted.
