The Liberty City Council met in regular session on Monday.
The council approved a second reading relating to the property tax rate which will remain at 20.4 cents per $100 assessed value.
The council voted not to pursue a trail on Lanhamtown Road, although the issue may be revisited in the future.
Mayor Sam Haddad told the council that a new sewer rate has been negotiated with Tarter Gate...
Mayor and Haddad also told the council members that an estimate to repair the damage to Liberty Dam is about $100,000 and they have applied for a grant which would hopefully be an 80/20 grant for the city...
