CCSO: CASEY CO. MAN ARRESTED AFTER HOME INTRUSION

On Wednesday, around 9:30pm, Casey County Deputy Tyler Luttrell received a call for Special Deputy Dustin Neat reporting an intruder at a residence on South 501, about 13 miles East of Liberty. Deputy Luttrell, and Special Deputies Eric Pruner and Dusting Neat went to the scene and made contact with the caller, Ryan Clements, who was sitting in the driveway and stated he'd seen a man walking threw the residence.

Clements stated when the suspect saw him in the driveway, that he went towards the back door. He believed the man was still inside. Deputies discovered a rear window had been busted out and the back door was open. Officers first cleared the residence, & then the Barn, but were unable to locate anyone.

Clements stated that the subject looked like Stanley Durham, who lives right across the road. As the officers conducted a search, they spotted a man lying face down in the weeds nearby. It was 55-year-old Stanley L. Durham, who stated his legs got tired and he was just resting. Durham stated at first that he was only on the porch looking around, then he was headed back home.

Durham was placed under arrest and transported to the Casey County Jail on charges of Burglary-2nd Degree, Criminal Mischief-3rd Degree, & Criminal Trespassing-2nd Degree.
