CCSO: LIBERTY ARRESTED FOLLOWING ACCIDENT

A Liberty man was arrested following a single vehicle accident Sunday evening.

Deputy Jacob Atwood with Casey County Sheriff's Department, responded to the call of an accident with injuries on Shugars Hill Rd, about five miles SE of Liberty. Deputy Austin Harris advised that a female stated she observed the driver throw something into the field where the vehicle was.

K9 Kados was deployed for an article search and had a positive alert approximately 50 feet from the vehicle. In the field, Deputies located a green crown royal bag, containing marijuana, a marijuana grinder, and a broken glass pipe.

The driver, 20-year-old Isaac A. Kidd, of Possum Trot Rd., Liberty, admitted that he threw the bag after wrecking the 1993 Jeep Cherokee.

There was a skid mark approximately 30 feet long and Kidd advised that he was going too fast into the curve. He stated that he was traveling approximately 50 MPH prior to wrecking. Kidd was placed under arrest and transported to the Casey County Hospital for a blood test due to the severity of the injuries the passengers sustained.

Kidd stated that he had smoked Marijuana the day prior but had not smoked any that day.
He was transported to the Casey County Jail once he was released from the hospital.

Kidd is charged with:
Charge 1: RECKLESS DRIVING
Charge 2: TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE
Charge 3: POSS OF MARIJUANA
