A Casey County Teen died in a one vehicle accident in the early morning hours Saturday.

According to Taylor County Sheriff Allen Newton, 18 year old Dalton Weddle, of Liberty, was driving on private property off KY 76, Knifley Road, when his vehicle traveled over an embankment and overturned into a pond.

Weddle and three passengers were taken to Taylor Regional Hospital.

Weddle, the son of Casey County Sheriff Chad Weddle, was pronounced dead by the Taylor County Coroners office.

The other three passengers were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The accident was investigated by Taylor County Sheriff Allen Newton, Brent Burkhead, Stephen Dobson.
