Liberty city council met in regular session Monday.

On the agenda was the issue of trick-or-treat hours in the City Of Liberty. The council set the hours for Saturday, October 29 from 5 'til 7 PM to coincide with Trail Town activities at Liberty Island.

Mayor Brown signed a proclamation recognizing the week of October 17-23 as Retired Teachers week to honor retired teachers.

Councilman Richard Montgomery informed the council that a city employee would be leaving their job to go work at the jail. Montgomery stated as long as the city didn’t have to replace that employee, that he intended to make a motion at the next meeting for a pay increase of 5% for all city employees to match the recent increase given to the police department...

The next meeting of the Liberty City Council is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 14th.
