The mother of three young children is facing charges after Danville Police found the kids alone in her vehicle.

Danville Police responded to 25 Holladay Drive, shortly after 7pm Saturday night, in reference to unattended children.  Upon arrival, officers located three children inside a vehicle ages, 4, 2, and 2 months.  They determined the kids had been there for around a half hour or more.

The mother of the children, 26 year old Cynthia Goins, of Danville, was found inside an apartment with a male subject who was suffering narcotic intoxication.  Officers rendered aid to the man, who was actively overdosing on an unknown substance.  

Danville City Fire and Boyle County EMS responded to the scene and the man, later identified as Hunter Blake, was transported to the local hospital for further treatment.  

Goins was charged with 3 counts each of wanton endangerment, and endangering the welfare of a minor.  A search of her vehicle yielded small amounts of marijuana, heroin, and methamphetamine.  Goins was additionally charged with possession of all three substances.  Social services assisted Danville Police during the incident and the children were released to a family member.  They were unharmed.

Around 6am the next morning, Danville Police returned to the same area, where Hunter Blake was found, looking for his vehicle and phone.  He had been released from medical treatment.  Blake had no recollection of the previous events and believed he had been released from jail.  He was determined to be under the influence and was charged with public intoxication.  Due to his level of intoxication, Blake was cited and released back to the hospital for further treatment.
