Shortly after 12am Monday, Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputies Zack Nicholason and Logan Smith along with Sergeant Michael Mullins went to a residence on S Old Ottenheim Road in reference to serving an arrest warrant as well as following up on complaints of drug activity.
Upon arrival, Deputies observed evidence of narcotics usage in plain view. As they attempted to make contact, a man was seen fleeing through the residence.
Deputies secured the scene for a drug investigation. As they were conducting a protective sweep of the residence, a male suspect was found hiding inside a closet. He was wanted on (5) outstanding felony warrants from multiple surrounding counties. The man, who's name was not released, was placed under arrest and lodged in the Boyle County Jail.
Further investigation revealed suspected methamphetamine and suboxone inside the home.
As the investigation continues, authorities say more arrest(s) are expected.
