A Windsor woman is facing charges after being found passed out at the wheel at a local church.
Deputy Hannah Lynn, with Casey County Sheriff's Office, was dispatched to Patterson's Chapel Church, on Thompson Ridge Road, in the Windsor community, shortly after 1pm Wednesday afternoon, in reference to someone slumped over the wheel of a 2023 Ram Pickup.
Upon arrival, she made contact with 53 year old Lesia Sue Luttrell, who was laying on the wheel with the motor running. The arrest citation states Luttrell had slurred speech, glossy eyes, and was unsteady on her feet. She failed field sobriety tests.
A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of a baggie containing crystal methamphetamine. Luttrell stated she had used meth the night before.
She was lodged in the Casey County Jail on charges of DUI, Driving on Suspended OL's, and Possession of Methamphetamine-1st Degree.
Sheriff Chad Weddle assisted.
