A Liberty man was cited for reckless driving after a near miss with a patrol car.

The Casey County Sheriff's Office says 27 year old Joshua D. Hash, of 85 Creston Water Tower Rd., Liberty, was driving at a high rate of speed late Monday evening, about 4 miles West of Liberty on KY 49.

The citation states Mr. Hash lost control of his 2006 Chevy, skidding sideways and nearly struck the Deputy head-on. The Officer was forced off the roadway in order to avoid a collision.

Hash was charged with Reckless Driving, and Driving on a Suspended Operator's License-9th Offense.
