Sheriff Greg Speck reports that a Somerset woman was arrested following a search warrant at her residence. On Monday August 22, 2022 Narcotics Detectives were conducting surveillance on a suspected drug trafficker on Garnet Court in Pulaski County. During the course of the surveillance, Detectives developed enough probable cause to request a search warrant for the residence.
Detectives went to the Garnet Court address and executed a search warrant on the residence.
Once inside the residence, Detectives encountered Yvonne Nicole Roy, age 41, of Somerset.
Upon searching the residence, Detectives located two baggies of suspected methamphetamine on
the couch, where Roy was initially sitting, along with a handgun. Detectives also located digital
scales, glass pipes and, miscellaneous paraphernalia.
Detectives did a field test of the substances located which yielded a positive result for
methamphetamine. The total weight of the methamphetamine was approximately 125 grams.
Yvonne Nicole Roy was arrested and charged with the following:
1. Trafficking in Controlled Substances 1 st degree 1 st offense, (methamphetamine)
2. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
3. Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon
The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Lake Cumberland Area
Drug Task Force and the FBI.
The case remains under investigation by Detective Tan Hudson and the Pulaski County Sheriff’s
Office Narcotics Division.
