A Liberty man was arrested on drug charges Wednesday.
Casey County Sheriff Chad Weddle says he and Deputy Robin Lynn responded to the report of a disturbance just after Noon Wednesday about 10 miles south of Liberty on Contown Rd. While at the residence, Sheriff Weddle noticed a man riding an ATV in the roadway, and made contact with 33 year old William Salyers, of 1088 Rouse Branch Rd., Liberty.
Consent to search was given, resulting in the discovery of a pill bottle with Mr. Salyers name on it, found in his right front pants pocket. Inside the bottle was a baggie of suspected Methamphetamine, and a paper wrapped up with possible Heroin inside.
Salyers stated both drugs were Meth.
He was lodged in the Casey County Jail on charges of Possession of Methaphetamine-1st Degree/2nd Offense, & Possession of Controlled Substance-1st Degree (Unspecified).
