Officers with the Casey County Sheriff's Department conducted a "Knock & Talk" Wednesday morning, in reference to a tip of possible drug activity, and arrested two people.
Sheriff Chad Weddle, and Deputies Hanna Lynn and Robin Lynn, went to a location on Rubarts Road where they found 53 year old Gary Schubert, of Liberty, outside near a camper. He was placed under arrest for 3 active Casey County bench warrants.
Inside the camper, Officers made contact with Melissa Popplewell, age 41, also of Liberty. As she came down steps in the camper, a metal container fell to the floor, which was later found to contain a Meth Rock. Two Meth pipes were also located inside the camper.
Schubert was charged with No Insurance-2nd Offense, No Registration Plates, DUI-2nd Offense, Driving on Suspended Or Revoked Operating License, Theft of Services, & No Registration Plates.
Popplewell was also arrested on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine-1st Degree-2nd Offense, Possession Of Marijuana, & Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Both were lodged in the Casey County Jail.
