A Liberty man arrested on DUI charges following an accident with injuries Wednesday.

Deputy Hanna Lynn, with Casey County Sheriff's Office, responded to the scene shortly after Noon Wednesday, about a mile south of Liberty on Shugars Hill Rd.

Upon arrival, she spoke with the driver, 59 year old Gerald L. Weddle, of 2404 Shugars Hill Rd., who had constricted pupils and unsteady balance.  Mr. Weddle failed field sobriety tests and was transported to Casey County Hospital for a blood test.

He was lodged in the Casey County Jail on charges of DUI-controlled substance.

LPD Officer Hunter Christian assisted at the scene.
