Casey County Fiscal Court met in regular session Monday.

The Health Department presented their annual report and announced they had lowered their tax rate to 3.5 cents per $100 of assessed value for Real & Personal property.

Jan Banks presented the tax rate for the Library Board, which is down for the 3rd consecutive year, taking the compensating rate of 8.7 cents per $100.

Russ Clark presented a detailed report from Bluegrass 911, which is in the process of doing detailed mapping of large buildings in the area, including individual school rooms for the benefit of first responders.

The Court went into executive session for about 20 minutes to discuss possible realestate aquisition & litigation with no action taken.

Steve Fox was appointed to fill a vacant position on the Hospital Board for a three year term.

The Court also addressed Tax Rates. Soil Conservation was set at 2.4 cents per $100 assessed value. County real and personal property rates remained unchanged at 6.7 cents per $100. Motor vehicle rate, unchanged at 8.5, and Fire acres unchanged at .03 per acre.
